A WORLD OF PINK MOBILE

We are so proud to say that Tantillo Autogroup donated a vehicle for us at World of Pink Foundation to fill with product so we can go out into under served communities.  This transportation vehicle will help us reach women who cannot reach us and enable us to have fitting events.  

 

With two locations on Long Island, we have the opportunity with this transportation to join several major healthcare systems.  The vision is to incorporate an application to service women in various locations and be able to deliver or ship product directly to the patient. 

 

Receiving this vehicle from Nissan is a dream come true.  We have witnessed women who have been left alone after surgery.  Sometimes spouses leave, unable to deal with this tremendous burden and life change, which can leave women in financial hard ship.  There is a new generation of young diagnosed women between the ages of 13 and 39.  Many of them cannot cover the cost to visit our locations.  Sadly, we have seen women who cannot afford a car or babysitter due to the tremendous medical bills they incur.

The World of Pink mobile has already allowed us to visit more patients, hospitals, doctors, nursing homes, and coalitions. By doing this we are able to deliver bras and prosthetics to women who would not receive them otherwise! It is also going to play a key role in spreading the word about the services we are offering to women battling breast cancer all over Long Island and beyond.
